Question 1

How do I get to the pousada, and what is the road like?

Accepted Answer

The pousada is in the beautiful Serra de Maracaju region, near the district of Camisão. The final stretch is a dirt road that is regularly maintained and fully passable by a regular passenger car — no 4x4 required.

Question 2

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Accepted Answer

Check-in starts at 2:00 p.m., so you can settle in and enjoy the afternoon and sunset. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m., giving us time to carefully prepare each room for the next guests.

Question 3

Does the pousada accept children and pets?

Accepted Answer

Our focus is silence, contemplation, and deep reconnection with nature, so we host adults and young people from age 14 only. We are also in an active environmental preservation area and do not have safe facilities for pets, so pets are not allowed.

Question 4

What is included in the nightly rate?

Accepted Answer

Rates include a full artisan breakfast with fresh local produce, free access to private self-guided trails on the property, and the traditional afternoon tea at sunset.

Question 5

Is there mobile signal and Wi-Fi on the property?

Accepted Answer

Yes — free high-speed fiber Wi-Fi is available in the main building and all rooms. Mobile phone signal may be weak or unavailable due to the Serra de Maracaju terrain — ideal for a voluntary digital detox.

Question 6

What activities and tours are available in the area?

Accepted Answer

On the property you can enjoy forest walks, natural lookouts for sunset, and birdwatching. Nearby (Aquidauana and Camisão), options include floating in clear rivers, historical tours, and visits to the famous Morro do Paxixi viewpoint.

Question 7

How does cancellation or date change work?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations requested at least 15 days before check-in entitle you to a full refund or credit for a future stay. After that deadline, or in case of no-show, the administrative terms and fees in our booking policy apply.

Question 8

How are meals served at the pousada?

Accepted Answer

Besides breakfast and afternoon tea included in the rate, we have a guests-only bistro for lunch and dinner by prior reservation. Our menu highlights contemporary pantaneira cuisine with seasonal local ingredients.

Question 9

What should I pack to enjoy the stay fully?

Accepted Answer

We recommend light, comfortable daytime clothes, closed shoes for trails (sneakers or light boots), insect repellent, sunscreen, a water bottle, and a light layer for cooler evenings in the hills.

Question 10

Is the pousada accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Accepted Answer

Because we sit in steep, preserved natural terrain, some paths and trails have stairs and uneven ground. Please contact us before booking so we can suggest the most suitable room for your needs.
